Joining your appointment step-by-step

We’ll send your Microsoft Teams appointment link by email or text message before your appointment begins.

If you need additional support, family members or trusted people can also join your appointment with you.

Step 1: Choose your device

We recommend joining your appointment using a laptop, computer, or tablet where possible.

Larger screens can make appointments easier to follow and more comfortable to use during your call.
 

Step 2: Find your appointment link

Open the email or text message sent by Key before your appointment begins.

Inside, you’ll find your appointment date and time along with a Microsoft Teams link to join your appointment.

Select the appointment link when you’re ready to begin.

Step 3: Open Microsoft Teams

After selecting the link, your device may ask how you’d like to join the appointment.

You may see options to open Microsoft Teams or continue in your web browser.

For the best experience, we recommend opening the Microsoft Teams app where possible.

Step 4: Allow camera and microphone access

Your device may ask permission to use your camera and microphone before joining the appointment.

Select “Allow” so your adviser can see and hear you clearly during the call.

You may also see a preview screen before entering the appointment.

Step 5: Check your camera and microphone

Before joining, you can check your camera, microphone, and audio settings if needed.

You should be able to see yourself on screen and test your sound before entering the appointment.

This helps make sure everything is working correctly before the call begins.

Step 6: Join your appointment

When you’re ready, select “Join now” to enter the appointment.

Your adviser will then join the call and guide you through everything step-by-step.
