  • Instant estimate, in seconds

Do I qualify for equity release?

To qualify, you must be a UK homeowner:

  • Aged 55+ (including joint applicants)
  • With a property worth £70,000+

How is your figure calculated?

Our equity release calculator uses two main factors to quickly work out how much tax-free cash you could release:

  • Property value: A higher property value will result in a higher equity release calculation. The minimum property value to be eligible for equity release is £70,000
  • Age of youngest applicant: If you are applying as a couple, the amount of equity you could release will be calculated based on the youngest applicant. Both applicants must be aged 55 and over to be eligible.

Things to consider

Your specialist equity release adviser will explain:

  • All our equity release advice relates to Key lifetime mortgages only - a loan secured against your home
  • Equity release will reduce your estate’s value and may affect your entitlement to means-tested benefits
  • A lifetime mortgage may result in limited or no property equity remaining and will reduce your financial options in the future
  • The loan, plus compound interest, is typically repaid through the sale of the property when the last remaining applicant passes away or moves into long-term care
  • £899 advice fee only payable on completion
